TASB Launches TASBnext: A Bold New Strategic Plan for Texas School Boards
The Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) is proud to announce the official launch of TASBnext: Our 5-Year Roadmap, a bold new strategic plan designed to support every member school board across Texas.
Developed through a year-long process that included surveys, interviews, focus groups, and strategy sessions with more than 150 staff and school board leaders, TASBnext reflects the voices and insights of members from districts large and small, rural and urban. The plan’s visual motif, inspired by Texas’s iconic farm-to-market road signs, and vibrant imagery from across the Lone Star State, underscore TASB’s commitment to every public school district, no matter its size or location.
TASB Executive Director Dan Troxell expressed his excitement for the launch. “TASBnext is more than a document, it’s a commitment to being present in your communities, demonstrating our value as a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, and responding transparently to your needs,” he said. “We listened to your feedback, and our path forward is clear: build trust, deepen engagement, and ensure every member feels supported by an Association that works tirelessly to meet your needs.”
Troxell also offered gratitude to the TASB Board of Directors, noting, “We extend our heartfelt thanks to the TASB Board of Directors for their vision and leadership throughout the strategic planning process. Their commitment and guidance were instrumental in shaping TASBnext and ensuring it reflects the needs and aspirations of our members.”
As part of the launch, TASB members are invited to explore a digital copy of the plan, watch an introductory animated video, and visit a dedicated web landing page for ongoing updates and resources.
“This launch marks the beginning of an ongoing conversation,” Troxell added. “We encourage you to stay engaged, share your feedback, and join us as we write the next chapter of TASB’s story, one that honors our legacy and drives us toward a future of opportunity for every Texas student.”
