Summer Leadership Institute (SLI)

Session Submissions Window Extended – Submit by March 31!

The session submission application for Summer Leadership Institute(s) opens Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, and closes Tuesday Mar. 31, 2026.

We invite you to share your expertise and contribute to an enriching learning experience for Texas school board members. Preference is given to proposals that feature innovative, evidence-based content, engage audiences through interactive instructional design, and provide real-world relevance through case studies. Help inspire and inform trustees with fresh perspectives and impactful discussions. Don’t miss this opportunity—submit your session today!

• TASB’s TEA Provider Application Guide
  Individuals wishing to present a session at SLI should have at least one (1) of their presenters registered using TEA’s New Registered Provider application. This presenter will be identified as the registered provider, and their provider number will be displayed on CEC slides and credit reports accessible to board and their districts. Session without a registered provider will be noted in the program as ineligible for training. This may significantly reduce attendance numbers to the session.

• Early registration: Wednesday, April 15-Tuesday, May 12
  Cost: $535
• Standard registration: Wednesday, May 13-Tuesday, June 9
  Cost: $560
• On-site registration: Wednesday, June 10-Saturday, June 13

Ft. Worth 

• Early registration: Wednesday, April 15-Wednesday, May 19
  Cost: $535
• Standard registration: Thursday, May 20-Tuesday, June 16

Step 2: Book Your Housing

Your housing link will be in your registration confirmation email.  

Your group needs to select your top-three hotels so that if your top choice is already booked, you can easily select your second or third choice. If the headquarter hotel is full, do not worry. Book an available hotel, and then join the waitlist.
