9:10-10:15 a.m. SHARS Annual Update from the Texas Education Agency, with Angela Foote
- This is an opportunity to avoid common SHARS noncompliance findings. This year has been filled with reviews and findings. The agreement between TEA and HHSC gives TEA the responsibility to provide training to SHARS providers. Considering that responsibility, this presentation will share common findings, suggest options for compliance, and answer your SHARS questions.
10:15-11:25 a.m. Exploring New Horizons: A National Perspective from NAME (Nation Alliance for Medicaid in Education), with Jenny Millward
- Medicaid, the third largest funding stream for schools, can create bridges of opportunity for schools. Recently, Medicaid has gone through a significant transformation with the opening of the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and the release of the updated guidance, known as the SUPER GUIDE. This is the first time the complete guidance has been updated since the program was created. Learn more about what these changes mean for states and school districts.
