This Legislative Update contains summaries of bills affecting public education and public school districts that were passed during the regular session of the legislature in 2023. This course provides school officials with a brief overview of the new laws and what they require of school districts, school employees, TEA, the SBOE, and other state agencies. Videos of TASB Legal and Governmental Relations experts are also included. This course satisfies the Topic 1 requirement for experienced trustees to receive an update on the education code following each legislative session.
