‘You Ask, TASB Answers’ Policy Webinar Series Turns Real District Questions into Practical Answers

TASB Policy Service is launching a new webinar series called “You Ask, TASB Answers” to tackle real questions submitted by school districts across the state and turn them into practical, plain-language answers that are easy to understand and apply.

Lawyers and staff from TASB Legal Services and Policy Service will address everything from the “who does what” basics that keep districts running smoothly to the policies that shape the practices around governance, personnel, academics, and student supports, to name a few.

“We’re excited about launching this new series,” said Amanda Bigbee, division director of Policy Service. “Each webinar will focus on different sections of the policy manual so we can get into the very specific issues where there may be questions or concerns.”

The first webinar, slated for April 7, will cover sections A (Basic District Foundations) and G (Community and Governmental Relations) of the Policy manual. Separate webinars will then be held for sections B (Local Governance), C (Business and Support Services), D (Personnel), E (Instruction), and F (Students).

While superintendents and administrators may find the entire series helpful, Bigbee noted that trustees may be especially interested in Section B, which focuses on local governance. A webinar on that section will be scheduled later in the series.

To ask a question for the first webinar on April 7 at 1 p.m., fill out this survey by April 2.

Registration is limited, so secure your spot today!

Check out the Training and Events Calendar for more training opportunities. Additional webinars in the ‘You Ask, TASB answers” series will be added in the coming weeks.
