SHRM Releases Annual State of the Workplace Report
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) published its annual State of the Workplace report identifying pressing workplace needs and employee perspectives.
The State of the Workplace findings reflect data collected from more than 1,800 HR professionals and 2,000 workers in October and November 2025.
HR executives, HR professionals, and workers all agree that employee stress and burnout are among the top concerns that organizations must address. Additional key findings include:
- Workers acknowledge employers’ efforts to address needs, but both agree more can be done.
- Organizational effectiveness at addressing workplace needs drives key outcomes.
- The employee experience is identified as the top priority that workers believe HR should prioritize in 2026.
