TASB HR Services is excited to offer new and experienced human resources professionals crucial, targeted training to ensure they have the tools needed to confidently do their jobs.
HR Academy, co-sponsored by the Texas Association of School Personnel Administrators (TASPA), is scheduled Oct. 19-20 at TASB Headquarters in Austin and is designed for practicing and aspiring HR administrators.
Over the course of Academy, participants will enhance their knowledge of:

- Legal issues
- Managing employee performance
- Understanding leave
- Wage and hour law
- Hot topics and HR challenges
- Certification basics
- Compensation practices
- Strategic HR
Of equal value, we’ve built in time for attendees to network with their peers. Connecting, or re-connecting, with colleagues offers the opportunity to share ideas, advice, and information.

Sarah James
Sarah James joined HR Services in 2019. Prior to that, she worked at a Central Texas school district for 11 years. She is responsible for managing web content, HR Services articles, HRX newsletter, social media accounts, and marketing efforts.
James has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Concordia University Texas in Austin.
