The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is accepting public comments on proposed revisions to 19 TAC Chapter 150, Subchapters AA and DD, concerning the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA).

TEA proposes the repeal of §§ 150.1012, 150.1013, and 150.1014; and the addition of §§ 150.1041, 150.1042, and 150.1043, concerning educator appraisal. The changes would implement House Bill (HB) 2 of the regular session of the 89th Texas Legislature by:

  • Establishing requirements for enhanced teacher incentive allotment system
  • Modifying teacher designation policies to account for new designation levels
  • Updating teacher designation performance standards

Detailed information about the revisions can be found on the TEA website. To submit public comment, use the TEA Commissioner of Education Public Comment on Proposed Rules form.
