Department of Labor Announces Technical Amendment
On May 14, the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Wage and Hour Division announced a technical amendment that restores the 2019 salary threshold rule.
This amendment removes the regulatory language from a 2024 rule that was vacated by the courts in November 2024.
No action is needed as the technical amendment simply ensures that regulations match the requirements in place. The salary threshold for exemption remains at $684 per week.
