Ask HR Services: Posting Vacancies

We posted a vacancy on our district website, but we’ve received zero qualified applicants. Where else can we post vacancies for non-teaching professional roles?

In addition to the well-known online job boards, districts can increase their applicant pool by listing vacancies on college and university career centers (e.g., Handshake) and with job-specific organizations (e.g., Texas Council of Administrators of Special Education (TCASE), Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA)).

More information on alternate recruiting avenues can be found in the HRX article Creative Teacher Recruitment Strategies.

Additionally, helpful information about the requirements for posting vacancies can be found in our article HR and Policy: Vacancy Posting Requirements.
