Cost and Registration
TASB Members: $50 per person
Non-Members: $150 per person
Registration and cost are per individual. If your district plans to attend as a group, each participant must register separately to receive credit.
Zoom Requirements
Please check with your district in advance for any firewall or IT restrictions that may affect access to Zoom events.
Session Proposals
The SHARS Conference, hosted by TASB Student Solutions, offers program leaders, administrators, and practitioners the opportunity to explore best practices in School Health and Related Services (SHARS). This conference equips attendees with tools to assist with compliance, evaluate Medicaid reimbursement, and strengthen service delivery for students.
TASB is seeking session proposals that highlight innovative strategies, research-based practices, and actionable solutions in the SHARS space. The focus is on ensuring financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and student-centered outcomes.

Friday, February 27, 2026: Session submissions close at 4:00 p.m.
Thursday – Friday, May 7-8, 2026: 2026 SHARS Conference
Submission Requirements
- Applications are accepted online only.
- Sales presentations will NOT be accepted.
- "To Be Determined" or blank placeholders for panelists or co-presenters will not be accepted.
- All presenters (main and co-presenters) must register and pay the appropriate fee to attend the 2026 SHARS Conference.
- TASB Student Solutions will not contact co-presenters, it is the main presenter’s responsibility to relay all session guidelines and information to the co-presenters; up to two co-presenters may be designated and published in the program.
When submitting an application for Session Selection, you will need the following information:
- First and Last Name (including honoraria)
- Job Title
- Organization
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Will there be additional co-presenters?
If yes, be prepared to provide the co-presenter name, email, job title, and organization. You may enter up to two co-presenters.
You will need to select the appropriate format and category for your session.
- Session Title: Limit 70 characters (including spaces), is the optimal length for a session title.
- Session Descriptor: Keep descriptions of sessions under 100 words. This length restriction does not include presenter names, titles, and organizations.
Important note: You must click submit on the page where you review your session details. Once your application is submitted properly, you will receive a confirmation e-mail.
Learning Formats
Last 40 minutes through the Zoom platform in 4 rotating groups:
- Provide actionable takeaways
- Be delivered in engaging formats: panel discussion, case study workshop, dialogue, or instructor-led training
- Incorporate audience participation, problem-solving, and Q&A
- Share templates, workflows, or examples districts can adapt immediately
Proposals should align with one of these core focus areas:
- Compliance & Audit Readiness: Eligibility, documentation, policy changes, and avoiding disallowances
- Financial Strategy & Optimization: Maximizing reimbursements, cost reporting, efficient billing workflows
- Service Delivery & Student Outcomes: Aligning SHARS with IEP goals, balancing educational vs. medical services
- Staffing & Capacity-Building: Training, professional development, and workforce retention
- Technology & Systems: Billing platforms, data integration, and innovative tools that reduce administrative burden
- Guidance & Policy: Legislative updates, Medicaid changes, and future-facing strategies for school districts
Session Criteria
Proposals are evaluated based on:
- Relevance to SHARS and district needs
- Practical application of strategies and tools
- Evidence-based content supported by data or case studies
- Engagement potential (interactive, not just lecture-style)
- Originality (priority given to sessions not previously presented at TASB events)
- Neutrality (content must be educational, not promotional or commercially biased)
Proposal Process and Rules of Engagement
Submit your proposal using the official SHARS Conference form.
- Each applicant may submit up to two proposals.
- Clearly identify all content leaders, their expertise, and session roles.
- Session descriptions must be concise (100 words or less), outcomes-focused, and error-free. Titles and descriptions may be edited by TASB for marketing.
- Accepted presenters must:
- Adhere to all deadlines and communication timelines
- Observe intellectual property rights
- Complete registration and housing as directed
- Be available for presentations on both conference days
Session Logistics
- Handouts and Files: Submit in advance for inclusion on the conference resource webpage.
- Room setup and AV: Determined by TASB based on registration and session format.
- Schedule: Sessions will be placed strategically within the conference agenda to maximize audience engagement.
Presenter Agreement
As the main presenter, you agree to and understand the following:
By submitting your application as the main presenter, you represent that you (or your company or organization) are fully authorized to use all content that you present or make available to attendees. You represent that, to the best of your knowledge, your presentation does not violate any proprietary or personal rights of others (including any copyright, trademark, or privacy rights) and contains nothing defamatory or otherwise unlawful. You understand that TASB will neither defend nor indemnify you against any claims made by others that arise from your presentation.
You agree to notify us immediately if an emergency or other unforeseeable issue prevents you from presenting.
You grant TASB permission to use your name, likeness, photograph and biographical data in connection with the use and promotion of the program. If you grant TASB permission to publish your content, your content may be published in full, in print or electronic medium, up to a year after your presentation.
You grant TASB the right to, in their sole discretion, record your session, broadcast your session live (including over the internet), and rebroadcast your session, in whole or in part, jointly or separately for any TASB purpose.
You grant TASB the right to share your name, company, and email address with third-party service providers to be used to fulfill the requirements of this Agreement and to perform other duties in connection with the 2026 SHARS Conference. It will be your responsibility to upload your presentation to the service provider's website or portal when required.
You understand that you must register and pay to attend the 2026 SHARS Conference and are also responsible for all travel arrangements and expenses that you incur. You will not receive any compensation for this presentation.
You represent that you are authorized to bind the company or organization you represent, if applicable. Any change to these terms must be agreed to in writing by an authorized TASB representative in order to be valid.
