Your entire HR team can find the right training for their level of experience and area of expertise. HR Academy and Advanced HR Academy are scheduled on separate dates to allow department staff to attend one or both events and engage in learning targeted for each person’s experience level. Registration for each event is required.
HR Academy
Are you new to human resources in education? HR Academy has been the premier training opportunity for new and aspiring human resources administrators for many years and is co-sponsored by the Texas Association of School Personnel Administrators (TASPA). Session presenters are experienced school HR administrators, HR consultants, and a school law attorney.
Topic sessions cover the HR functions and critical issues every administrator encounters. You will have opportunities to network with other administrators and receive guidance on the best ways to use HR resources.

Advanced HR Academy
Want to build on your HR skills and improve outcomes? The Advanced HR Academy is designed for experienced HR staff who want to go beyond the basics of critical HR functions and issues. Session presenters are seasoned HR consultants and experienced school administrators. Topic sessions provide knowledge, purposeful methods, and innovative tools for implementing processes and strategically navigating HR challenges.

- Individuals who previously attended HR Academy
Advanced HR Academy is scheduled for November 9-10, 2026 at the TASB Headquarters in Austin, TX. Registration will open summer of 2026. Additional information can be found on the Training & Events webpage.
Continuing Professional Education Credits
HR Services is an approved provider for continuing professional education (CPE) units for State Board of Educator Certification (SBEC) and is an approved organization for sponsorship of continuing education credit (CEC) for the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO).
