Service Record Management

TASB HR Services is providing two opportunities for HR staff to increase their knowledge of service record management.

HR Services recently presented the Service Record Management webinar which was recorded and is available to view via the HR Services Webinars page. The one-hour session includes guidance on evaluating an individual’s creditable service, identifying best practices for maintaining service records (FIN-115), and recording state sick and personal leave.

HR Services is also offering a more in-depth look at service record management, including a walk-through of common scenarios to demonstrate application of the commissioner’s rules on creditable service. This live, virtual workshop will be held on Tuesday, November 30, and Wednesday, December 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. each day.  In addition to expanding on the topics above, the following will also be discussed:

  • Creating compliant service records
  • Calculating creditable service
  • Calculating state sick and personal leave
  • Identifying creditable service entities
  • Calculating service for different creditable service entities
