Recruiting HR Mentors

At the 2021 HR Academy and the virtual Advanced HR Seminar, HR Services solicited new participants for HR Mentorship Connections, a program designed to connect novice HR staff with experienced HR professionals willing to serve as mentors.

Participants were surveyed to identify interest in participating either as a mentee or mentor. The majority of respondents want to be assigned a mentor. As a result, we’re in the process of recruiting experienced HR administrators to serve as mentors.

As a mentor, an individual would be expected to provide support on an as-needed basis via phone and email. To qualify as a mentor, you will need to have or do all of the following:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in school district human resources
  • Willingness to share best practices and your own lessons learned in solving HR-related problems
  • Provide resources to acclimate the new HR administrator to their role

If interested, please complete the HR Mentorship Connection survey. Completing the survey serves as consent to share your contact information with other participants.
