The required worksite posters explaining employee rights under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) are available from the Department of Labor (DOL).
The new notice, available in English and Spanish, explains the provisions of the Emergency Family and Medical Leave Act Expansion Act (EFMLAEA) and the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act (EPSLA). An FAQ explaining an employer’s obligation for posting or distribution of the notice is also available. An employer can satisfy the requirement to post the notice in a conspicuous place on the premises, by emailing or direct mailing the notice to employees, or by posting the notice on the employer’s external website or intranet.
For more information on the emergency federal leave, check out the DOL website, COVID-19 and the American Workplace. Additional information on personnel issues related to COVID-19 are covered in various articles posted in the HRX.
