Staffing Resources for School Administrators
TASB HR Services has been providing staffing guidance to school districts since 2003 and is proud to announce a new Strategic Staffing section in the HR Library (TASB login required).
Personnel costs represent 80 to 85 percent of a school district budget, which means staffing strategically is important. As a result, we’ve created tools for districts to examine their current staffing practices within the context of their own needs and priorities to achieve optimal staffing efficiencies and effectiveness.
In the staffing section, you will find:
- Strategic staffing benefits
- Benchmarking information
- Position specific guidance for auxiliary, campus and central administration, teacher, special education, educational aide, and clerical staff
- Sample staffing guideline form
Often districts will request our staffing benchmarks. These are now embedded in the specific position section of the HR Library. For further assistance email hrservices@tasb.org.
