Selders Elected to State Association Board
Austin— Robert Selders Jr. of Garland ISD (GISD) has been elected to a two-year term on the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Board of Directors, representing TASB Region 10, Position A. The election was held during the Association’s 2025 Delegate Assembly on Sept. 13 in Houston.
Selders was elected to the GISD Board of Trustees in 2015. He has served in every officer role and is in his second term as board president.
He is the founder of 3Q Fitness Consultants, LLC. Selders has a bachelor’s and master's in electrical engineering from Southern University and A&M College and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, respectively. He also holds a master’s in exercise science from the California University of Pennsylvania.
He is committed to public service and is an inaugural member of the Holdsworth Texas School Board Institute and is a Master Trustee and a member of the Leadership TASB Class of 2018.
