Pruett Elected to State Association Board
Austin— Margaret Pruett of Victoria ISD has been elected to a one-year term on the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Board of Directors, representing TASB Region 3. The election was held during the Association’s 2023 Delegate Assembly on Sept. 30 in Dallas.
Pruett was elected to the Victoria ISD School Board in 2016 and currently serves as the board secretary. She has always loved being part of the public school system. She was a substitute teacher in Sinton ISD while attending college and then joined Victoria ISD in 1994, first as a permanent substitute teacher and later as a bilingual kindergarten/first-grade teacher’s assistant.
Professionally, Pruett is a legal assistant at Anderson, Smith, Null & Stofer, LLP. In 2013, she graduated with honors from the Commonwealth Funeral Institute in Houston.
For her community, she has held office and helped with various parent-teacher organizations, booster clubs, and fundraising events. She also is actively involved in her church as part of the Altar Society, a CCD teacher, and a provisional funeral director for the diocese of Victoria.
