Ivey Elected to State Association Board
Austin— Elizabeth Ivey of Montgomery ISD (MISD) has been elected to a three-year term on the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Board of Directors, representing TASB Region 6, Position A. The election was held during the Association’s 2025 Delegate Assembly on Sept. 13 in Houston.
Ivey was elected to the MISD Board of Trustees in 2024 and serves as secretary. She is a professor at Texas A&M University, where her research and instruction focus on preparing future educators in the science of teaching reading. Ivey is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational psychology.
She has a bachelor's degree in special education from Texas A&M University, an M.S.Ed. in literacy intervention from SUNY Potsdam, an M.S.Ed. in educational administration from Missouri State University, and a diagnostician certification from Lamar University.
