Hinaman Elected to State Association Board
Austin— Julie Hinaman of Cypress-Fairbanks ISD has been elected to a two-year term on the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Board of Directors, representing TASB Region 4, Position F. The election was held during the Association’s 2022 Delegate Assembly on Sept. 24 in San Antonio.
Hinaman has served on the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD (CFISD) Board of Trustees since June 2019, when she was appointed to a vacant position. In November 2019, she was elected to a four-year term. She is currently serving as the Vice-President. She has served as chair of the Community Leadership Committee and co-chair of the Long Range Planning Committee that helped develop the 2019 CFISD bond recommendation.
She is an active district volunteer, serving as a Global Volunteer, a bus buddy, a mentor through the CFISD Mentor Program, and a mentor/coach with the Cy-Hope Ambassadors of Compassion. In addition, she has served on the Cypress Woods band and drill team booster clubs and the Spillane Campus Performance Objective Committee. Her work has earned her the CFISD Friend of Education in 2018 and the State Board of Education’s Heroes for Children Award in 2019.
Hinaman also is a member of the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce, the Cy-Fair League of Women Voters, Cy-FARE, National Charity League (Cypress Gems), and 100 Women Who Care, Cy-Fair.
