Keeling Elected to State Association Board

(Austin) — Tami Keeling of Victoria ISD has been elected to a three-year term on the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Board of Directors, representing TASB Region 3. The election was held during the Association’s 2021 Delegate Assembly on September 25 in Dallas.

Keeling joined the Victoria ISD (VISD) Board of Trustees in 2005. She has served several terms as board president and vice-president. Keeling is a 2007 Leadership TASB graduate and a Master Trustee. She has served on the TASB Legislative Advisory Committee and is a member of the School Board Advocacy Network.

Over the years, Keeling has been active in a variety of community- and education-related efforts, including Raise Your Hand Texas, Victoria Chamber of Commerce, Victoria Zoo, Victoria Economic Development Corporation, Museum of the Coastal Bend, and the Victoria Symphony. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Victoria.

She has a bachelor’s degree in English from The University of Texas at Austin. She is founder and owner of TTK Consulting, LLC.

TASB is a nonprofit association established in 1949 to serve local Texas school boards. School board members are the largest group of publicly elected officials in the state. The districts they represent serve more than 5.4 million public school students.
