SHARS Matters Webinar Series: Speech Referrals / SLP Provider Enrollment, Feb. 2025

In 2022, the Health and Human Services Commission began requiring a speech referrral for Medicaid reimbursement of SHARS Speech Therapy services. To comply with this requirement and others, hundreds of speech language pathologists enrolled as Medicaid providers through Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership. It's now been a few years since this policy has been made effective, but many districts are still working towards full compliance. This session will discusses SHARS speech therapy policy, (SHARS) speech referral requirements, and the provider enrollment process.
