Establishing a return to work screening process after exposure to or diagnosis of COVID-19 will help ensure individuals adhere to required exclusion periods.
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommend specific exclusion periods to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Screening can be done by a designated COVID-19 HR or campus contact. HR Services developed a form, Screener for Return Following Exclusion for COVID-19, that incorporates TEA and CDC guidelines.
Additional information on excluding employees from the workplace can be found in the HRX articles, Addressing COVID-19 Exposure and Tools for Responding to an Employee Diagnosis or Exposure to COVID-19.
