Experienced HR Mentors Needed

At the 2020 HR Academy, HR Services introduced HR Mentorship Connections, a new program designed to connect novice HR staff with experienced HR professionals willing to serve as a mentor.

Academy participants were surveyed to identify interest in participating either as a mentee or mentor. The majority of respondents were new HR administrators wanting to be assigned a mentor. As a result, we’re in the process of recruiting experienced HR administrators to serve as mentors.

As a mentor, an individual would be expected to provide support on an as-needed basis via phone and email. To qualify as a mentor, you will need to have or do all of the following:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in school district human resources
  • Willingness to share best practices and your own lessons learned in solving HR-related problems
  • Provide resources to acclimate the new HR administrator to their role

If interested, please complete this survey. By completing the survey, you consent to your contact information being shared with other participants. The survey will be open until February 15, 2021. For further information, please email hrservices@tasb.org or call HR Services at 800-580-7782.
