TASB/TASA Superintendent Survey Update

This year’s TASB/TASA Superintendent Salary Survey is now accepting responses!

Superintendents received an email invitation to participate on Tuesday, July 19, and received a reminder on July 28 if they had not yet responded. Additional HR Services contacts will receive an invite link if the district’s survey is not completed by Thursday, August 4.

The survey deadline is August 16.

We appreciate our early participants! Within the first hour of emailing invites, 14 districts began their surveys.

Following are some fast facts from the first week of survey submissions:

  • We received responses from 184 superintendents (18 percent of districts). We generally receive 675 to 750 responses each year.
  • Median enrollment of participants so far is 801—smaller districts typically participate earlier in the process. So far, 19 participants have more than 5,000 students.
  • Thus far, there are 46 superintendents new to their districts, and 34 of those are first-time superintendents.
  • Our first week of participation is similar to the previous five years.
