Update Coming to Educator Certification Online System (ECOS)

Typing on laptop computer

Texas Education Agency (TEA) is providing an update to the ECOS beginning August 24, 2021, that will allow school districts to download additional certification information for teachers.

The two new developments include:

  • Increasing the processing limit from 5,000 records to 20,000 records
  • Adding teacher designations and expiration date of Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) designation to the download

Districts will want to check technology systems used to download files to ensure they are set up to accept the new changes. Full information including links to downloadable sample files containing the new columns is available from TEA.
