TEA Dashboards Updated
The Newly Certified and New Teacher Hires Dashboards have been updated to include data through the 2023-2024 school year.
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) created the dashboards to provide insight into the hiring trends of Texas public school teachers, data on teacher preparation programs, certification pathways, and new teacher hires. The data includes all individuals who are newly prepared teachers available to teach and newly hired teachers for each school year and spans from the academic years 2009-2010 through 2023-2024.
The dashboard views include:
- Newly Certified & New Teacher Hires – newly hired teachers by certification type and region
- Newly Certified Teachers by EPP (Educator Preparation Program) – newly prepared teachers who are available to teach
- New Hires by Local Education Agency (LEA) – newly hired teachers by certification type, region, district, and geographic setting
- New Hires by LEA and EPP – newly hired teachers by district in correlation to the educator preparation program completed
These dashboards are interactive tools that allow districts to break down new hire data in Texas by district, region, and educator preparation program. By analyzing trend data on new hires, districts can strategize recruiting efforts to ensure they invest their time and resources appropriately.
