Nicholas Phillips Reelected to State Association Board

Austin— Nicholas Phillips of Nederland ISD has been reelected to a three-year term on the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Board of Directors, representing TASB Region 5. The election was held during the Association’s 2024 Delegate Assembly on Sept. 28 in San Antonio.

Phillips has served on the Nederland ISD Board of Trustees since 2010 and currently serves as president. He is a Leadership TASB graduate (Class of 2015) and Master Trustee. 

Phillips currently is the principal at West Brook High School in Beaumont ISD, where he was recognized by the Texas PTA as the 2023 Secondary Principal of the Year. He previously served the district as a middle school principal and associate principal and taught social studies at Beaumont and Port Arthur ISDs. 

He earned his bachelor and master degrees from Lamar University.
