Fox Elected to Interim Position on State Association Board
Austin— The Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Board of Directors has elected Rebecca Fox of Katy ISD to an interim position on the TASB Board, representing TASB Region 4, Position E.
Fox served on the Katy ISD Board of Trustees 2004-19 and was reelected to the board in 2021. During her time as a trustee, she helped establish the vision for the Katy ISD Education Foundation and is a groundbreaking investor. Fox is a 2007 Leadership TASB graduate and Master Trustee. She also is a member of the School Board Advocacy Network.
A long-time volunteer, Fox has served on PTA boards and district committees, such as the Campus Advisory Team and bond and rezoning committees. She served three years as an executive board member of Katy ISD Volunteers in Public Schools. Fox continues to volunteer in schools across the district through KEYS mentoring, Junior Achievement, Promise-to-Read, and a variety of other programs. Fox also is active in the community, participating in the National Charity League-Star Chapter, Pregnancy Help Center, and RaiseUp Families.
Her service has earned her numerous awards, including Texas PTA Lifetime Membership and Extended Service Award, Citizen of the Year by Katy Area Chamber of Commerce, Top 100 Women of Katy by Katy Magazine, and the Backbone of Katy Award by the Noyes Foundation.
She attended Southeastern Louisiana University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in consumer and family science. Fox works part-time as a motivational speaker and parent educator.
