TASB HR Services is excited to share the release of our newest resource, The Administrator’s Guide to Educator Certification, available for immediate download.

This guide equips HR professionals and hiring managers with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate certification rules and requirements and is a vital resource developed to help school leaders ensure all students are served by qualified educators. Amid the current teacher shortages, HR leaders can use this tool to identify, qualify, and support educator candidates using the insights and creative solutions provided in the guide.

Topics covered in the guide include:

  • Certification rules and requirements
  • Certification routes
  • How to qualify an uncertified candidate
  • Parent notification requirements
  • Required qualifications for educational aides, counselors, and other licensed professionals

In addition, TASB HR Services offers Navigating Educator Certification, a comprehensive workshop that can be customized for virtual or in-person delivery to meet training needs. With the new guide and available training, school and district administrators will be well-equipped to ensure compliance with certification rules and requirements and qualified educators for all students across Texas.

Visit the TASB Store to purchase an electronic copy of The Administrator’s Guide to Educator Certification.
