(Austin)—Greg Welch of Clyde CISD has been reelected to a three-year term on the Texas Association of School Boards’ (TASB) Board of Directors, representing TASB Region 14. The election was held during the Association’s 2020 Delegate Assembly, which was held virtually on October 3.

Welch has been on the Clyde CISD Board for 22 years and currently serves as president.

He attended Angelo State University and went on to work as a machinist and production manager at Froman Manufacturing. He currently works as a manufacturing production manager for Ludlum Measurement, Inc., where he has been employed since 2002.

Welch is the secretary of the Callahan County Appraisal District Board and has served on that board for 18 years. He also has been active on the boards of multiple youth sports organizations.

TASB is a nonprofit association established in 1949 to serve public school boards. School board members are the largest group of publicly elected officials in the state. The districts they represent serve more than 5.4 million public school students.
