Looking for the latest updates on school law? TASB’s School Law Update newsletter provides current information on the legal issues that impact public schools.

Looking for current information on legal issues that impact public schools? TASB’s School Law Update Newsletter, written and published monthly by TASB Legal Services attorneys, offers up-to-date legal information on education-related issues in an easy-to-read format. Every month, we send out an email with links to the TASB School Law Update Newsletter resource, which includes:

  • Recent decisions from federal and state courts
  • Important announcements from state and federal agencies
  • Significant decisions from the commissioner of education and attorney general
  • Access to electronic archives of past editions of the newsletter (Subscription required)

The subscription year for the TASB School Law Update Newsletter runs from July to June. This resource is provided free of charge for Texas Council of School Attorneys members and to board members and select administrators from districts with an Active TASB membership.

TASB School Law Update Newsletter Plus

Trustees and district administrators may also select the newsletter “plus” option, which provides subscribers online access to full-text final commissioner decisions released by TEA within the subscription year.

The subscription year for this additional service runs from July to June. The cost is $250.

Please note that all the content made available with the newsletter “plus” option is also available (along with more complete, searchable archives) via our Legal Research Library. A member subscribing to the Legal Research Library need not also subscribe to the newsletter “plus” option.
