Chris Jones, Senior Attorney

Chris Jones joined TASB Legal Services as a Staff Attorney in September of 2022.

In 1990, Chris earned his degree in accounting from Texas Tech University.  In 1993, Chris earned his law degree from the University of Texas.  In 2001, Chris began focusing on school law at the Texas Education Agency, where he has worked in a wide variety of areas including academic and financial accountability, accreditation, investigations, campus improvement activities, districts of innovation, special-purpose districts, school district consolidations, charter schools, teacher certification, special population program monitoring, residential treatment facilities, TEA enforcement activities, litigation, school finance and rulemaking.

Away from the office, Chris enjoys spending time with his family and enjoying the great outdoors. In the summer, you might be able find Chris on some of the great American hiking trails.
