Certification Resources for School Administrators

To support Texas school districts in their quest to find certified and qualified teachers, HR Services is pleased to announce the addition of a Certification section to the HR Library (myTASB login required).

Seven Ways to Qualify an Uncertified Teacher has received thousands of views since it was posted in September 2018. In a series of HRX articles published this past spring, we provided more in-depth information about each way to qualify an uncertified teacher, including additional insightful certification and licensing information.

Instead of reading through each article in the HRX, school districts can now go directly to the Certification section of the HR Library to find information about the following and much more:

  • Alternative certification
  • Emergency permits
  • School district teaching permit
  • Temporary classroom teaching assignment
  • Exceptions and waivers
  • District of Innovation exemption

HR Services strives to provide beneficial and timely resources that directly support the work of school district HR departments. For further assistance, email hrservices@tasb.org.
