Scott Rizzo, Ph.D., Community College Policy Specialist

Scott Rizzo

Scott Rizzo joined TASB Community Colleges Services as a Policy Specialist in 2019. In this role, Scott advises Texas community colleges on policy issues, analyzes community college policy, and assists in the development and maintenance of up-to-date and legally viable local policies for community colleges.

Prior to joining TASB, Scott worked at several institutions of higher education in advising, testing & evaluation, and document creation, editing, and proofreading. Most recently, Scott worked for the school performance review team of the Legislative Budget Board, where he wrote and edited comprehensive reviews of struggling Texas school districts.

Scott earned a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Georgia (Athens), an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University (Boca Raton), and a B.A. in History from the University of Florida (Gainesville).

Scott provides consulting, policy development, and maintenance services to localized community colleges.
