General

When will registration open for Summer Leadership Institute? How does the lottery work? What if I miss the initial district lottery entry timeframe? Is there a deposit to enter the lottery? Does my board have to reserve spots at the same location? How much does Summer Leadership cost? Will my full board be allowed to attend? When is virtual SLI? If my board is selected in the lottery, and I have additional board members now wanting to attend, can I still sign them up? What if I want to register a new board member before elections? If my district is not selected to attend via the lottery do we HAVE to attend the virtual conference? Will I need to pick my sessions for Summer Leadership Institute? Will there be a shuttle this year?

Conference sessions

Will TASB offer any of the required training for school board members at Summer Leadership Institute? Will I need to pick my sessions if I am attending Summer Leadership Institute in person? Do I have to send a copy of my purchase order to TASB? How do I cancel a conference registration? Where do I mail checks for SLI registration?

COVID-19 Safety Questions

What safety measures are being taken due to COVID-19? Will I need to stay 6 feet apart from others? Do I need to wear a mask while attending in-person SLI sessions? Do I have to show evidence of a negative COVID-19 test to attend the event in-person? Since room capacities will be limited due to social distancing, will I have access to the virtual SLI if a particular session is full? I have been fully vaccinated; do I need to wear a mask and practice social distancing? My board will be traveling together to SLI, do we have to socially distance? Will there be daily health checks? Will there be sanitizer or hand-washing stations available? How will TASB monitor in-person attendees for COVID-19? Will TASB notify all attendees if an attendee tests positive for COVID-19 during the event? What happens if someone develops COVID-19 symptoms during the Event? Can you guarantee my safety at SLI?

Credit reporting

How many credit hours can I get if I attend virtual SLI? Will reporting credit be the same?
