Evaluating and Improving Student Outcomes (EISO) — The Board’s Role in Continuous Improvement (required training)

Texas Trustee Institute (Part One) — Training designed for newly elected school board members. Trustees are strongly encouraged to attend both parts one and two.

8-11 a.m. Evaluating and Improving Student Outcomes (EISO) — The Board’s Role in Continuous Improvement (required training) We recommend newly elected board members attend this required training session.
8:30-10:30 a.m. Post-Legislative Conference — Attending this will fulfill the required training for experienced school board members (on the board for a year or longer).
“TASB will host two Post-Legislative Conferences during the TASB Summer Leadership Institute (SLI) conferences in San Antonio and Fort Worth following the Texas Legislative Session.
During these conferences, TASB staff reviews the important bills passed during the legislative session, focusing on what is required of school districts. Attendees will learn about major legislation affecting public education including school finance, school choice, charters, elections, district governance, Teacher Retirement System, instruction, student services, special education, and more!”
