TASB is pleased to announce its call for presentations for the 2023 Summer Leadership Institute. SLI San Antonio June 14-17, 2023 Marriott Rivercenter SLI Fort Worth June 21-24, 2023 Omni

You are invited to submit a presentation proposal for an educational breakout session that addresses critical issues facing today’s school board members. TASB staff should reference the application on Offline.​

Due to the nature of the audience vendor sessions are not accepted for Summer Leadership Institute.

2023 important dates

• February 1: Call for proposals opens
• March 10: Call for proposals closes
• Early April: Presenters notified about proposal selections
• TBD: Conference registration and housing opens

These leading-edge tracks set a new standard for research and solutions that will help us create a dynamic program related to improving student achievement.

• Vision and Goals: shared vision, district goals, strategic planning
• Systems and Processes: human resources, professional development, curriculum and instruction, budgeting, bonds, policy, school law, facilities, school safety, and cybersecurity
• Progress and Accountability: student learning outcomes, progress monitoring, superintendent evaluation, state and local accountability
• Advocacy and Engagement: building partnerships and engaging community, parents, and businesses; legislative advocacy; public school advocacy
