Miller Grove ISD Hires Executive Search Services

On April 7, the Miller Grove ISD Board of Trustees voted to hire TASB Executive Search Services (ESS) to conduct a search for a new Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. Details and updates will appear on our searches page as things progress.

Cotulla ISD Hires New Superintendent

Ruben CervantesOn April 1, the Cotulla ISD Board of Trustees voted to hire Ruben Cervantes as the district’s new superintendent. Cervantes most recently served as the superintendent in Dell City ISD. He began his career as a teacher in Clint ISD. Cervantes has also served as assistant principal, principal, and associate superintendent in Pecos-Barstow-Toyah, Big Spring, Kermit, and San Elizario    ISD’s.


Taft ISD Names Lone Finalist

Irene GarzaOn March 29, the Taft ISD Board of Trustees named Irene Garza as the lone finalist for the position of superintendent. Garza currently serves as professor for superintendent and principal certification programs at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, TX.  
The Taft ISD board is scheduled to vote to hire Garza after the 21-day waiting period required by state law.

Queen City ISD Hires New Superintendent

Darrian DoverOn January 4, the Queen City ISD Board of Trustees voted to hire Darrian Dover as the district’s new superintendent. Dover most recently served as the superintendent in Meadow ISD. He began his career as a teacher in Morgan ISD. Dover has also served as teacher and principal in Bynum, Rising Star, and Aspermont ISDs.



Sam Rayburn ISD Hires New Superintendent

Lance CampbellOn November 16, the Sam Rayburn ISD Board of Trustees voted to hire Lance Campbell as the district’s new superintendent. Campbell most recently served as the superintendent in Lone Oak ISD. He began his career as a teacher in Mesquite ISD. Campbell has also served as principal and superintendent in Sam Rayburn, Whitewright, and Cumby ISDs.  


Burkburnett ISD Hires New Superintendent

Brad OwenOn November 12, the Burkburnett ISD Board of Trustees voted to hire Brad Owen as the district’s new superintendent. Owen most recently served as the assistant superintendent in Burkburnett ISD. He began his career as an assistant principal in Burkburnett ISD. Owen has also served as principal and Executive Director of Innovative Learning in Burkburnett ISD.



Jarrell ISD Hires New Superintendent

Toni HicksOn October 29, the Jarrell ISD Board of Trustees voted to hire Toni Hicks as the district’s new superintendent. Hicks most recently served as the assistant superintendent in Liberty Hill ISD. She began her career as a teacher in El Paso ISD. Hicks has also served as teacher, assistant principal, and principal in Leander, Killeen, and Round Rock ISDs.
