Business Recognition Program

Texas public schools benefit tremendously from the generous support of businesses and organizations in their community. Whether they choose to champion the marching band, a vocational class, a whole school, the education foundation, Partners in Education, or the entire district, local businesses and community groups are vitally important to the success of public schoolchildren in our state. Express your appreciation by recognizing entities in your community that contribute valuable support to your district.

Submit business, organization information online

Thousands of area elementary students celebrate Heroes for Health Day in Bexar County. 

District representatives complete the online Business Recognition Form, identifying entities that provide support to the district or school. Deadline submissions for the 2019–20 school year is July 31, 2020.

Receive presentation packet by mail

TASB will send the following presentation materials to the superintendent for each business name submitted:

  • Stand Up for Texas Public Schools lapel pin
  • Recognition folder containing the following:
    • Congratulatory letter from TASB Executive Director Jim Crow
    • Stand Up for Texas Public Schools business/vehicle static decal (6x4 inches)
    • Personalized recognition certificate suitable for framing and hanging (10x8 inches)
    • “We proudly support Texas public schools!” counter/desktop standalone sign (5x11x2 inches)

Districts can show their appreciation by making a formal presentation of the packet to the business at a board meeting, the business location, or an annual recognition event. Share presentation photos by e-mailing them to StandupRecognition@tasb.org.

See honoree name online, in print

The names of recognized entities will be posted on the TASB website and in printed materials for their support of Texas public schools. We want to show our appreciation for the many businesses and community organizations that provide needed assistance to districts and schoolchildren across the state.
