Leslie Richardson Story, Lead Attorney for Policy Service

Leslie StoryLeslie has been with the TASB Legal Services Division since 2005.  As lead attorney, Leslie provides legal support to TASB HR Services and TASB Policy Service, summarizes decisions of the commissioner of education, and works with TASB Governmental Relations as liaison during the legislative session. Leslie is a frequent presenter at regional and state-wide training events on a variety of school law topics.

Leslie graduated magna cum laude from Baylor University with a B.A. in the University Scholars program and received her law degree from The University of Texas School of Law. During law school, Leslie interned for the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and worked in the Children's Rights Clinic.

Prior to coming to TASB, Leslie was in private practice, representing a variety of clients, including governmental entities.

Leslie is a member of the School Law and Labor and Employment sections of the State Bar of Texas. She is also a member of the Texas Council of School Attorneys and the National Council of School Attorneys. Leslie is involved in her community, as a PTA member and volunteer at her children’s school, as an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Austin, and as a sustaining member of the Junior League of Austin.
