Student panel and scholarship.

A highlight of the conference, the high-school-senior panel will be a part of WGLS again this year. Selected students will receive scholarship monies and a travel stipend for their participation. Currently enrolled high school seniors are invited to submit an application. Students can apply to be a member of the panel and receive a scholarship.

Four students will be selected and will each receive a $1,000.00 scholarship from our generous event sponsor, Walsh Gallegos

Relatives of TASB employees are not eligible for Student Voice scholarships.

Call for student entertainment

Come play for us! WGLS is looking for student groups to perform on Thursday, March 1, and Friday, March 2.

Do you have a creative group to showcase? Slam poets, flash mob dancers, and other artists are all encouraged to participate.

  • Groups will be limited in size due to space restrictions.
  • The time needed for setup and tear down and diversity of presentations will be considered.
  • TASB will provide snacks and small honorariums for the student performers.

The call for Education Presentations closed on Friday, December 15, 2017.

We are pleased to expand the presence of Student Voices in TASB Winter Governance and Legal Seminar (WGLS) conference this year.
