Dominic Giarratani, Assistant Director

Dominic Giarratani is an Assistant Director of Governmental Relations for TASB. He is responsible for issues related to appropriations, personnel, the Public Funds Investment Act, TRS, and textbook and technology funding. Additionally, he supports TASB's efforts relating to tax policy and school finance issues.

Prior to joining the Governmental Relations staff, Dominic spent five years at the Legislative Budget Board, and nearly three years with the House Appropriations Committee (HAC) as a key aide to Chairmen Jim Pitts and Warren Chisum. At HAC, Dominic's responsibilities included general oversight of budget and program matters related to general government, the judiciary, public safety and criminal justice. 

Dominic, who grew up in Boston, Massachusetts, earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Public Affairs from The University of Texas at Austin. He also holds an MBA from Boston College.
