Religion in the Public Schools - DVD Materials
Teachers and administrators are frequently faced with questions about the role of religion in their classrooms and on their campuses. Religion in the Public Schools, created in cooperation with the Freedom Forum First Amendment Center, provides answers to guide teachers, administrators, and others in the school community as they maintain the balance between the First Amendment’s prohibition on the establishment of religion and its protection of an individual’s free exercise of religion.
Religion and the Public Schools has been endorsed by a number of organizations:
- Association of Texas Professional Educators (ATPE)
- Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA)
- Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP)
- Texas Classroom Teachers Association (TCTA)
- Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA)
- Texas Federation of Teachers (TFT)
- Texas State Teachers Association (TSTA)
TASB Legal Services offers a number of documents intended for use by your district when conducting a Religion in the Public Schools training.
