As districts prepare for the financial storms ahead, TASB Legal Services, HR Services, and Policy Service are working together to provide members with guidance and information on reducing personnel costs during the current school finance crisis. We have prepared a new page called Cutting Costs that you can access from the main HR Services page
. This site will host a compilation of links to legal, policy, and human resource information available now in a variety of locations on the TASB Web site plus new material as it becomes available. You will find legal guidance, flow charts, sample forms, feature articles, and more on this site. If you have useful resources we can share with other districts, please let us know.
HR Services will offer our first webinar, FLSA Myths Busted, for member districts only on Tuesday, March 29, from 2 to 3 p.m. TASB consultants will separate FLSA fact from fiction and explain the real requirements for breaks, keeping records, overtime, and dual assignments. There is no charge for any employee in an HR Services member district but you must register in advance using this link
.
