HR Services completed 147 local consulting projects during the past year. Those services included 19 employee surveys; 21 staffing reviews; 96 compensation planning services; eight in-district training workshops; and three miscellaneous HR projects. HR consultants also receive between 250 to 300 service calls on average each month through our toll-free number. We appreciate these opportunities to serve our members.

Invitations to participate in the annual TASA/TASB Superintendent Salary Survey have been sent to superintendents and our survey contacts. We’ve already received more than 200 responses! If you haven’t responded yet, take a few minutes to provide your data. More than 800 school districts participate in this survey each year. We want you to be part of that group! The deadline to submit your data is Sept. 25.
We’re sending HR Services membership renewal invoices to district program contacts this month. For the second year, we are holding the line on membership fees. During the previous membership period, we had 960 members in HR Services and 412 subscribers to HR DataCentral, our online survey database.
Two-thirds of the respondents to our July Quick Poll said that they did not see an increase in the number of employee retirements and resignations over the prior year.
