Staffing Reviews

A Staffing Review is an independent evaluation of staffing practices against various benchmark measures to determine the number and type of employees a school district needs to conduct business most effectively. Secondary master schedules are closely analyzed for effective use of personnel. Consultants provide the district with specific suggestions that could reduce costs, contain costs, add staff, or realign staff more efficiently. A Staffing Review can provide objective guidance for a growing district that needs to add staff, or it can provide suggestions for ways to reduce costs for a district with declining students or revenue. The scope of a Staffing Review includes:

  • Analyzing master schedules, class loads, and teaching assignments
  • Separate analysis of elementary, secondary, and special education staffing by campus
  • Food service
  • Maintenance, Custodial, and grounds
  • Instructional and administrative support
