Philip Cheatham, Program Coordinator

Philip joined the Governmental Relations Division in September 2004. As program coordinator, his job involves managing the day-to-day operations of the Governmental Relations Division. Philip also responds to calls from TASB members, state legislators, government personnel, the public and other TASB employees for information.

Prior to joining the Governmental Relations staff, he was legislative director for former Texas State Representative Debra Danburg.  Philip covered issues dealing with open government, elections, consumer protection, electric restructuring, and telecommunications.

A native of Houston, he earned his bachelor of science degree in political science at the University of Houston.
