Over half of districts pass resolution

Make Education a Priority BannerOn January 25, the Make Education a Priority campaign secured its 516th resolution (one more than half of the 1,030 school districts in Texas) and surpassed it by amassing 525 resolutions of support. (View all districts who passed the resolution.) For the first time, a majority of school districts have adopted a common resolution to convey an overwhelming sentiment to our state legislators. The Make Education a Priority campaign asked school boards across the state to adopt a resolution asking legislators to make public education the highest priority with addressing the state budget and other education issues this session. Additionally, the campaign has picked up statements of support from education associations, state legislators and school board area associations.
