Help with Syndicated Feeds (RSS, Podcasting)

You may find syndicated content offerings—news alerts or podcasts—on TASB.org or other sites. Using syndicated feeds allows you to stay on top of new content that matters to you much more efficiently—being alerted actively by your browser or a single Web site, rather than having to visit multiple sites to look for updates.

Recent browser updates make RSS subscribing easy:

For Internet Explorer 7 users

Find the RSS icon (RSS icon)above the search field in the upper-right area of your browser.  (See image.) To access your RSS feeds, click the yellow star in the upper-left corner of your browser to access the Favorites Center.

For Firefox users 

Detail of Firefox RSS feed iconThe RSS icon is located in the address bar, to the far right. (See image.) Click the icon, follow the directions to add the feed, and then monitor the feed through your Bookmarks Toolbar.

Other options

You can subscribe to RSS feeds using a service such as a personalized Google or My Yahoo! page or through an aggregator site such as Bloglines; many people monitor podcasts using iTunes and their iPods.
